Getting started
Mercury Platform Limited is a Lagos-based digital platform, registered with the CAC under RC 9475384, that pays creators for original content. Creators earn from qualified views, fan tips, subscriptions and brand campaigns, and withdraw weekly to their bank account.
Yes. Creating a creator account is free, and there is no subscription or joining fee. We never ask creators to pay to be “activated” or monetized — if anyone asks you for such a fee in our name, please report it to us immediately.
Anyone aged 18 or older who creates original content — video, photography, comedy, music, education, fashion, food, tech and more. You need a valid government-issued ID and a bank account in your own name to receive payouts.
Monetization
You need at least 500 followers, 10 original posts, a valid bank account in your name, and a clean record with no spam, fake engagement or copyright violations. Once you meet these, apply from your dashboard and complete KYC.
Views revenue is calculated per 1,000 qualified views of your original content. Qualified views exclude bot traffic, self-views and views driven by incentivised or misleading promotion. Tips, subscriptions and brand campaign fees are credited to your wallet as they clear.
Yes. Monetization can be paused or revoked for spam, fake engagement, reposting other people’s content, hate speech, fraud, or other breaches of our Terms of Service. We notify you by email with the reason and give you a chance to appeal.
Payouts & withdrawals
Payouts run weekly. Nigerian creators withdraw to any Nigerian bank via Paystack Transfers; creators abroad can withdraw via Stripe. Withdrawals are processed within 24–72 hours.
The minimum withdrawal is ₦5,000. Balances below this amount stay safely in your wallet and roll over to the next cycle.
Mercury does not charge a commission on withdrawals. Transfer fees charged by our payment processors apply and are shown before you confirm: Paystack transfers cost ₦10, ₦25 or ₦50 depending on the amount, and Stripe payouts carry Stripe’s payout and currency conversion fees.
Know-Your-Customer verification is required by Nigerian financial regulations and by our payment partners to prevent fraud and money laundering. We verify your BVN or NIN, a government ID and a matching bank account before your first withdrawal.
Most withdrawals arrive well within 24–72 hours. Delays can happen due to bank downtime, public holidays or additional compliance checks. If your funds have not arrived after 72 hours, email info@mercuryplatformlimited.com with your withdrawal reference and we will trace it with our processor.
Account & security
No. Card payments from fans are processed directly by Paystack and Stripe, which are PCI-DSS certified. We store only the bank account number and name needed to pay you, and we never ask for your bank PIN, password or OTP.
